Chilling Discovery: Woman's Body Found in Trunk Unearths Disturbing 'House of Horrors'

Six individuals are now in custody following the shocking discovery of a woman's lifeless body inside a trunk near a popular Gwinnett County spa. This grim revelation led authorities into what they describe as a "house of horrors," where the victim had suffered severe beatings and starvation, ultimately leading to her tragic demise.

On Tuesday, at approximately 10:50 p.m., a disturbing call was made reporting a body found in the trunk of a silver Jaguar parked outside Jeju, a Korean spa and sauna. The state of decomposition initially hindered investigators from determining the victim's gender.

Exclusive updates on the case reveal that four individuals have been arrested and are facing charges including felony murder, imprisonment, tampering with evidence, and concealing a death. These suspects are identified as Joonhyun Lee, Joonho Lee, Hyunji Lee, and Gawon Lee. Additionally, a 15-year-old juvenile, who remains unnamed, has also been arrested on murder charges and is currently held in custody at a metro Atlanta hospital.

In a separate development, a sixth person, 26-year-old Eric Hyun, was taken to a hospital due to unrelated injuries before the discovery of the woman's body. It remains unclear how Hyun and the teenager sustained their injuries.

However, an unsettling twist emerged when Hyun requested a family member to retrieve an item from his car, leading to the gruesome discovery of the body in the vehicle's trunk.

During a press conference, law enforcement officials disclosed that the victim, believed to be in her 20s or early-to-mid 30s, had been enticed from South Korea to join a "religious organization" referred to as "Soldiers for Christ" during the summer.

Tragically, she was then confined to a basement and subjected to brutal torture.

Malnourishment played a significant role in her untimely demise, as her body, upon discovery, weighed merely around 70 pounds. Police suspect that the victim began to starve on August 3 and likely passed away later in August.

Detectives assert that all six suspects were involved in the victim's death and subsequently participated in the disturbing act of concealing her body in the spa's parking lot.

The identity of the victim remains undisclosed, with authorities affirming that her family resides outside the United States and has not yet been notified.

Neighbors in the area expressed shock at the gruesome revelations, recounting their interactions with police at the residence on Stable Gate in Lawrenceville, where the victim had been held captive.

They had no prior knowledge of the horrifying abuse that had allegedly taken place, with one neighbor stating, "I never thought it's gonna happen in front of my house. Normally, it is quiet. Nothing happening here."

In another news, the remains of the former leader of a notorious Ecuadorian gang, Junior Roldán, have been stolen from a cemetery in Colombia, allegedly for a disturbing "satanic ritual." See detailed story here
