In Ilford, the tragic demise of Kamran Khalid has led to the incarceration of two brothers and a teenager.
The two brothers, along with a 17-year-old who was 15 at the time, swiftly found themselves in custody and subsequently charged following a meticulous inquiry by detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Specialist Crime Command.
Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, representing the Met's Specialist Crime Command, described this incident as an exceptionally brutal attack stemming from a minor disagreement.
Abubakar Binabdulaziz (pictured above) and the teenage boy unleashed a ferocious assault, resulting in Kamran being stabbed more than 30 times.
The escalation of violence over a minor dispute is deeply concerning.
All three individuals found guilty at Basildon Crown Court appeared before the same court on September 8th, 2023, for their sentencing:
1. Abubakar Binabdulaziz, 20, residing on Eton Road, Ilford, born on June 22, 2003, received a 21-year prison sentence for murder.
2. A 17-year-old boy from Ilford was sentenced to 16 years in prison for murder.
3. Ashraf Binabdulaziz, 26, residing on Eton Road, Ilford, born on August 21, 1997, received an 11-year prison sentence for manslaughter.

The court heard that Kamran met his tragic fate in the early hours of October 28, 2021, following an argument with the group.
A distress call reporting a stabbing was made to the police at 03:54hrs, leading to a prompt response by officers in conjunction with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.
Kamran was discovered at the scene with multiple knife wounds, and despite the valiant efforts of the emergency services to save him, he was regrettably pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
DCI Yorke expressed sympathy for Kamran's grieving loved ones and hoped that the sentences issued would provide some solace during this difficult time.
