Four individuals who forcibly detained a man in northwest London have been sentenced following an investigation by the Flying Squad. The victim, a man in his 30s, had been abducted and held against his will for 36 hours before his rescue from a flat in Dean Road, NW2, on February 18th, around 12:30hrs.
Detective Constable Tom Waller, who led the investigation, described the kidnapping as an appalling pre-planned attack on the victim and praised the officers for their dedicated work.
On September 18th, the four men were convicted of false imprisonment at Reading Crown Court.
Ervis Ademi, Xhekson Malollari, Mariglen Elezi, and Hydajet Kadriu were all found guilty. Malollari and Elezi were additionally convicted of conspiracy to kidnap, and Elezi faced charges of possessing a small amount of cocaine.

The victim was lured to a bar in Cricklewood Broadway under the pretext of his friend owing a drug debt of approximately £40,000.
Shortly after, the three men left together but were confronted by two others wearing balaclavas who forcibly took the victim to a flat in Dean Road, where he was held against his will. During the scuffle, the victim sustained some cuts.
While in captivity, the victim made several phone calls in an attempt to raise £110,000 demanded by his captors.
Police initiated an investigation codenamed 'Operation Major' and covertly observed the flat, arresting the suspects after freeing the kidnapped man.
Evidence was gathered, including balaclavas, blood-stained tissues, mobile phones, and car keys, which were found in the flat. The bar's CCTV footage identified one of the suspects, Malollari, who met the victim in the bar.
Additional CCTV footage linked the car used in the kidnapping to the scene.
Phone records revealed incriminating messages and videos of the victim with injuries, answering questions about money, and pleading for his life.
Ervis Ademi and Xhekson Malollari received ten-year prison sentences at Amersham Crown Court on September 22nd, while Mariglen Elezi and Hydajet Kadriu were each sentenced to four years in prison.
