Met Police Investigation Results in Jail Term for Terrorism and Child Abuse Offender, Sejr Forster

A Met Counter Terrorism Police investigation has reached its conclusion with the imprisonment of Sejr Forster, a 26-year-old resident of Norfolk. The investigation, carried out by counter terrorism officers, uncovered a disturbing array of terrorism-related offenses as well as child abuse offenses.

In May 2022, Forster was apprehended at his residence by counter terrorism officers who had identified his possession of terrorist documents. Their efforts were aided by colleagues from the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit.

When questioned about his phone, Forster claimed to have lost it at a pub. However, diligent detectives located it hidden beneath his mattress.

Subsequently, digital forensic experts meticulously examined Forster's phone, revealing a shocking collection of over 750 indecent images and videos of children, some as young as three years old. Additionally, the material in Forster's possession included both digital and physical copies of manuals detailing the creation of weapons and explosives.

Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, emphasized the severity of Forster's actions: “Forster built an appalling library of terrorist and child abuse material. His stockpile included the most serious types of child abuse images, and detailed bomb-making instructions. We also found texts and paraphernalia that highlighted his extreme right-wing mindset."

Forster has been convicted on three counts of collecting information likely to aid a person in committing or preparing acts of terrorism, as per section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000. Additionally, he faces three counts of producing indecent images of children (categorized as A, B, and C), in violation of the Protection of Children Act 1978.

At the Old Bailey, Forster received a four-year prison sentence, along with one year on license.

Upon release, he will be subject to a ten-year terrorism notification order and a ten-year sexual harm prevention order, both designed to mitigate the risk of further harm.

In another news, the police have launched a manhunt for a person of interest, Jason Billingsley, in the mysterious Murder of Tech CEO, Pava LaPere. See detailed story here.
