More Trouble for Antony: Manchester United's Antony Faces New Accusations of Violent Behavior From Two More Women
Manchester United's footballer, Antony, faces new accusations of violent behavior from two additional women.
The 23-year-old Brazilian international is already under investigation for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, on four occasions in both Sao Paulo and Manchester, though Antony has denied these allegations.
Recently, two more women in Brazil have come forward with their own accusations against the £85 million winger.
Rayssa de Freitas, a law student, claims she required hospital treatment following an incident in May of the previous year. She alleged that Antony and Mallu Ohana, the ex-wife of Brazilian player Dudu, assaulted her in Antony's Land Rover after leaving a Sao Paulo nightclub.
Ingrid Lana, a 33-year-old banker, has stated in an interview with Record TV in Brazil that Antony was aggressive toward her in October.
According to Lana, Antony attempted unwanted sexual advances, resulting in physical confrontation that led to her hitting her head.
These fresh allegations increase pressure on Manchester United to take action against Antony, who was already sidelined from international duty with the Brazilian team following the claims made by Cavallin.
While United acknowledged the allegations and stated they are treating the matter seriously, they declined to comment further.
In another news, popular actor Danny Masterson has received a sentence of 30 years in prison for rape accusations that occurred two decades ago. See detailed story here.
