Ohio Tragedy Unfolds: Family Members Shot, One Dead, Two Airlifted

An incident in Georgetown, Ohio, made headlines when a 24-year-old man named Noah Steven Clifton allegedly shot his grandparents and his cousin. The shocking event unfolded on a Wednesday night, right across the street from West Fork Cemetery at a residence on Wahlsburg East Road.

Around 6:30 p.m., the Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a distress call regarding the shooting. The first responder to arrive at the scene was an officer from the Georgetown Police Department. Upon arrival, the officer encountered Clifton, who appeared to be preparing to leave the premises.

Clifton was standing near a running vehicle, just outside the residence.

The responding officer promptly ordered him to move away from the vehicle. During this encounter, the officer noticed a handgun lying on the ground near Clifton. Without any resistance, Clifton was taken into custody.

Following Clifton's arrest, law enforcement officers learned that two elderly victims had been shot at the residence.

Ralph Neff Sr., 81, was tragically shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. Margaret Neff, 76, suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen and had to be airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment.

Zachary Neff, 30, was discovered alive at a neighboring residence with a gunshot wound to his face. He too was airlifted for medical attention.

Initially, the sheriff's office reported Margaret and Zachary's conditions as "unknown" and indicated that Clifton would face two counts of attempted murder and one count of murder.

However, subsequent information from Brown County Jail records indicated that Clifton was booked on two counts of murder and one count of felonious assault, suggesting a tragic outcome for one of the surviving victims.

Although jail authorities did not officially confirm another victim's death, the listed charges were reported as accurate.

In another development, a Florida family is currently locked in a legal battle with a hospital over their teenage daughter's debilitating condition. They claim that the hospital callously ignored her suffering and accused the mother of fabricating her illness. See detailed story here
