Montana man, Edmund Davis, Arrested in Connection with Missing Teen Alicia Navarro's Case

According to authorities, a Montana man, Edmund Davis, 36, has been arrested and charged with two felony counts of child abuse after law enforcement purportedly discovered child pornography on his cellphone.

The arrest is linked to the case of Alicia Navarro, a teenager who reappeared after being missing for five years.

In September 2019, Navarro, then 14 years old, vanished from Glendale, Arizona, before reappearing at a police station in Havre. While Navarro expressed her desire to begin her adult life, authorities launched an investigation into her sudden reappearance, leading them to Davis, who was identified as her boyfriend.

During a search of the apartment where Navarro was living with Davis, law enforcement found incriminating evidence, including more than 80 explicit images of suspected child abuse.

Some of these images depicted children under the age of 13, and even as young as five, while others showed prepubescent boys and girls.

Additionally, the confiscated phone contained content depicting infants and toddlers being sexualized.

Concerns arose surrounding Navarro's circumstances, as it was revealed that she is a high-functioning autistic child who had disappeared with only her cell phone and laptop.

Davis, currently held on a $1 million bond, may face a lengthy prison sentence if convicted, as specified by the Montana Attorney General's Office.

Authorities, along with private investigators, are ensuring Navarro's safety, and further investigations are underway to understand the circumstances that led to her living situation with Davis.
