Mother and Daughter Face Murder Charges in Iowa Grandmother's Death

In Iowa, a tragic incident unfolded when a grandmother suffered a brutal assault at the hands of her own daughter and granddaughter. The attack turned deadly as she was stabbed multiple times in the head, chest, and face with a butcher knife on October 26, as outlined in court documents.

Jessica Bino, aged 32, and Angela Bino, aged 59, were accused of carrying out this heartless assault on Suzette Occhibone after a heated argument erupted inside the victim's apartment in Sioux City, according to police reports.

The dispute began in the living room, with Jessica Bino arguing with Occhibone. Angela Bino entered and also confronted the victim, according to court documents obtained by the Sioux City Journal.

As the verbal argument escalated, it soon turned physical as both alleged attackers resorted to physically assaulting the elderly woman, striking her with their fists, as detailed in the court documents.

Angela Bino reportedly confessed to police that she then used a glass candlestick to strike the victim six times in the face and also hit her with a hammer on her face and arms.

At the same time, Jessica Bino reportedly retrieved a butcher knife from the kitchen and proceeded to stab the victim multiple times in the head, chest, and face, according to the documents reported by the newspaper.

A witness observed the mother and daughter attempting to transport their relative's body to a silver Buick LeSabre, where they tried to place her in the trunk shortly before midnight, according to the documents.

Sioux City police responded to the scene and declared Occhibone dead in the parking lot. The two women were subsequently apprehended inside the apartment.

Both Jessica and Angela Bino are now facing charges of first-degree murder and are reportedly being held in jail with a bond set at $500,000.
