Tampa Man, Earl Mitchell Cesario Arrested for Impersonating Law Enforcement, Attempting Vehicle Stops

A 62-year-old man named Earl Mitchell Cesario was arrested in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday after allegedly trying to pull over vehicles on the highway using his red pickup truck, equipped with red and blue flashing lights, while sporting a Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey. 

The incident was brought to the attention of the authorities by a witness who reported a red GMC truck attempting to stop other vehicles using emergency lights. Responding to the call, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper located Cesario's truck on the northbound side of I-75 near Bushnell and conducted a search. Cesario admitted to having the red and blue lights in his possession but claimed they were never activated during the incident.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect's truck was equipped with electrical sockets, commonly used for cigarette lighters, which were found with their covers removed. Upon plugging the red and blue lights into these sockets, they were found to be functional. 

A male witness on the highway recounted a similar experience, stating that the red truck had motioned for him to pull over before abruptly speeding away. Cesario was subsequently charged with false impersonation of officials in Sumter County.
