Teen Gang Initiation Leads to 50-Year Sentence for Shooting 5-Year-Old Girl

A young-looking criminal who shot a five-year-old girl, committed disturbing acts in his cell, and attempted to break out of prison has been sentenced to 50 years behind bars.

Noah Ney, aged 16, shot the little girl in April of the previous year as part of his initiation into the Hoover Crips gang, known for causing fear in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

The innocent girl was playing inside her home when Noah drove by in a stolen car and opened fire, striking her in the neck and shoulder. Attorney Morgan Medders emphasized the severity of her injuries, noting that a mere inch or two difference in the gunshot wounds could have cost her life.

Standing at just 4 feet 9 inches, Noah Ney later managed to escape from the Tulsa County Juvenile Justice Center while awaiting his sentence. He was eventually found and re-arrested three days later, according to Newson6.

Noah already had a criminal history dating back to his middle school years. The court also learned that both of Noah's parents had their own criminal records, with his father having a history of incarceration.

Noah's mother acknowledged his cruel behavior towards people and animals but took the blame for his vile actions. Noah's aunt also testified, revealing that he had been neglected throughout his life.

During the court proceedings, a neighbor testified that Noah had caused trouble in the neighborhood, wearing gang-related attire and carrying weapons, often threatening neighbors with them.

Attorney Medders pointed out that extended family members had been available to Noah throughout his extensive juvenile history, but it didn't seem to make a difference in his behavior. While awaiting sentencing, Noah refused any treatment plans and even resorted to escaping or assaulting staff members who were there to assist him.

Noah Ney admitted to 12 counts related to firearms, drugs, gangs, theft, and assault and has now been incarcerated.
