Texas Educator, Channing Elizabeth Kula, Faces Charges Over Alleged Student Relationship

An educator from Parker County is facing charges for her alleged involvement in a sexual relationship with a student, as reported by the Brock school district.

Channing Elizabeth Kula, aged 36, has been charged with engaging in an inappropriate relationship between an educator and a student, a second-degree felony, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The affidavit reveals that the student disclosed to investigators that he and the teacher engaged in a sexual encounter in the back of her car during the summer of this year. Kula reportedly admitted to this when questioned by authorities.

The school district, in a statement shared on social media, clarified that the relationship took place between Kula, a teacher at Brock Junior High School, and a student who does not attend that particular campus.

As soon as the school district officials were made aware of the allegations, they promptly contacted the Parker County Sheriff’s Office and placed Kula on leave. Subsequently, the teacher has resigned from her position.

According to information from Brock ISD’s website, Kula was a seventh-grade science teacher. The district has pledged its full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.

The district conveyed its unwavering commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of all students, emphasizing that it will swiftly and appropriately address any misconduct to ensure a safe learning environment for all.
