Shaun King, a BLM Activist, Accused of 'lying' about involvement in Freeing American hostages in Gaza

The family of the two American hostages, Natalie Raanan, 17, and her mother, Judith Tai Raanan, 59, who were recently freed by Hamas terrorists after being held for nearly two weeks, has accused Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King of making false claims about his involvement in their release.

Following the hostages' safe return, King, aged 44, appeared to take credit for their release, stating on Instagram that he and dozens of others had worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it possible. However, members of the Raanan family have contradicted his claims, asserting that they had no direct or indirect involvement with him.

Natalie's father, Uri Raanan, explained that while her brother Ben had been in contact with King before her release, the rest of the family was unaware of his involvement.

King, in his defense, has stated that he had direct and repeated conversations with the family since October 9 and kept records of these interactions to protect himself.

It is important to note that the government of Qatar played a significant role in securing the release of the hostages, who were set free due to Judith's declining health.

An expert cautioned that Hamas had its reasons for releasing the hostages, and their actions were not motivated by humanitarian concerns.
