Tragic End for TikTok Star Sabrina Durán: Shooting Caught on Camera

Sabrina Durán, a 24-year-old who had crafted a 'bad girl' image, became quite popular on TikTok, boasting over 500,000 followers and more than 13 million likes. A video capturing the horrifying moment she got shot is now circulating on social media.

The footage, recorded by a bystander, depicts Durán lying on the road, seemingly already shot. A car pulls up in front of her, and two individuals step out with guns, firing a total of six shots at her. These masked assailants then return to the car and drive away.

Local news sources in Chile reported that Durán was on her way to her nail salon in the Padre Hurtado commune, just outside Santiago, when the attack occurred. They also mentioned that the attackers took her car, which was later found burned.

Durán had gained notoriety in the world of crime, involving car theft and drug-related activities. She had previously served time in prison and was arrested in 2022, facing allegations of leading a local drug gang. While she had been sentenced to three years for drug trafficking, she was completing the last part of her sentence on supervised release.

Police have not publicly disclosed the motive behind the shooting, but they described it as a 'cold-blooded' killing. However, sources familiar with the investigation suggest that the shooting was related to 'settling scores.'

"We are expanding the scope of the investigation to explore other potential motives," said police major Leonel Muñoz.

Despite her ties to criminal activities, Durán found success on TikTok, where she endorsed beauty products and danced to music in her videos. Her last TikTok videos, posted on Monday, featured her reviewing cosmetic products she received from DCM Cosmetics.

The owner of the cosmetics company, Chanel Morales, explained why they chose Durán to promote their products. "I chose her because of her large following," she said. "She attracted a lot of attention on TikTok as the 'Narco Queen,' a tough girl, but her appearance and voice showed the opposite. She was very kind and liked to support small and medium-sized virtual companies."
