Florida Man Faces Murder Charges in Heartbreaking RV Park Tragedy

In connection with the tragic deaths of Patricia Matejcek, 62, and her boyfriend, Sean Harrison, 55, at a Bradenton RV park, a Florida man, identified as Thomas Matejcek, is facing murder charges.

Reports from WWSB, WTSP, and the Bradenton Herald, citing the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, indicate that Thomas is accused of the murders and is currently held in Manatee County Jail on two second-degree murder charges, without bond.

The incident unfolded on a Friday, around noon, when neighbors reported hearing a woman screaming. Prompted by the 911 calls, a sheriff’s deputy arrived at the scene and witnessed a man fleeing, leading to his quick apprehension, as reported by WWSB.

Thomas Matejcek, Patricia’s son, is currently in custody, but it remains unclear if he has secured legal representation or entered a plea in response to the charges against him.

Following Patricia's tragic death, her family initiated a GoFundMe campaign to gather support. In the campaign description, organized by her sister Krista Kale, allegations of prior abuse against Patricia surfaced, claiming that authorities had failed to protect her despite numerous pleas for intervention.

The GoFundMe campaign reveals that Patricia is survived by another son and two younger sisters.

The family's plea for justice and awareness about domestic violence is accompanied by information directing those in need to the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or thehotline.org, emphasizing the confidential and toll-free nature of the service, available 24/7 in over 170 languages.
