Four Men Face Federal Charges in Nationwide Apple Watch Theft Conspiracy, Court Documents Reveal

A group of four men is facing serious charges for allegedly stealing numerous Apple watches from a delivery truck destined for a local store.

Alexander Wilson Diaz-Remache, Jonathan Eduardo Remache-Diaz, Alvaro Oswaldo Loaiza-Alvarez, and Gustavo Daniel Vinueza-Bueno are accused of plotting and carrying out the theft of interstate shipments, unlawfully taking Apple products, and transporting stolen goods across state lines.

According to court documents from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, three of the men entered the country on travel visas and established a hub for their illegal operations with Diaz-Remache in California.

Their alleged spree spanned multiple states, including Maryland, Ohio, and Virginia. They targeted delivery trucks at shopping centers, like The Greene in Beavercreek, stealing jewelry and Apple merchandise.

Their modus operandi involved distracting delivery drivers while others pilfered the trucks.

This pattern repeated at various locations, with one or more members keeping watch for law enforcement or security. Notably, they allegedly snatched over 300 Apple watches from a FedEx truck making a delivery to The Greene in September.

The group continued their activities by targeting a UPS truck at the Mall at Fairfield Commons shortly after the initial theft. Arrested by Beavercreek Police near the mall, records show they were residing in an Airbnb in Centerville during the alleged theft.
