Walmart Attack: Man Punches Elderly Shopper Twice in the Face

 

A Florida man is facing charges after he was caught on surveillance video punching an elderly shopper twice in the face at a Walmart store.

Joseph McFadden was arrested by Sunrise police on November 17th near the 3300 block of North University Drive in Sunrise.

The attack occurred on October 11th just before 10 a.m. at a Walmart store in Lauderhill. The victim, an elderly man in his 80s, was leaving the store with a shopping bag in his hand when McFadden approached him and punched him twice in the face.

The victim suffered cuts and was taken to a hospital for treatment. McFadden did not steal anything from the victim and they did not exchange words before the assault.

McFadden was arrested at another Walmart in Broward County and is being held on $10,000 bail on a charge of aggravated battery on a person 65 years of age or older.
