A quiet neighborhood in Colorado Springs was shattered by a horrific tragedy on December 19th. Kimberlee Singler, a 35-year-old mother, is on the run after being named the prime suspect in the deaths of her two young children and the attempted murder of her third.
Police initially responded to a reported burglary at Singler's home early that morning. Upon arrival, they found Singler and her 11-year-old daughter injured, along with the heartbreaking discovery of the bodies of her 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son.
Although Singler was initially considered a victim and treated at a local hospital, the investigation quickly uncovered inconsistencies in the burglary story. Authorities soon determined Singler was the prime suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
Singler disappeared after briefly staying with a relative on Saturday. Her current whereabouts remain unknown, and a manhunt is underway. She faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and attempted murder, child abuse, and assault.
The community is reeling from the tragedy, with residents expressing shock and disbelief. Neighbor Daniel Lane shared, "This has always been a quiet neighborhood. The kids play here all the time. It's hard to believe something like this could happen."
The 11-year-old survivor is being cared for by authorities, and a $10 million bond has been set for Singler's arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Colorado Springs police or Crime Stoppers.
