Man Kidnapped and Forced to Go to Bank Texts 911, Leading to Captors' Arrest

A man in Florida was kidnapped and forced to go to the bank by his captors. However, the quick-thinking victim was able to secretly text 911 from the back seat of the car, leading to the rescue of the victim and the arrest of his captors.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office received the text message on November 29th. The victim stated that he was being held against his will and was in a blue Kia headed to a bank in Kissimmee. He also provided his location.

Deputies were able to spot the vehicle and conduct a felony traffic stop. They arrested two people, Christina Denise Jones, 37, and Curtis Jones, 37.

The victim told detectives that he knew Christina Jones as "D". She had contacted him and asked for help, saying that she needed a place to stay and a shower. The victim agreed to help and booked her a room at a motel on November 28th.

The victim said that he, Christina Jones, and Curtis Jones smoked marijuana and drank some alcohol at the motel room. The victim eventually passed out. When he woke up, he realized that $500 was missing from his wallet.

When the victim confronted Christina Jones about the missing money, she became angry. Curtis Jones then came to the room and they started selling drugs.

The Joneses demanded that the victim show them how much money he had in the bank and forced him to open up the bank app. Curtis Jones allegedly threatened to "slice him up with a knife" if the victim did not give them $900.

The victim was scared and agreed to go with the Joneses to the bank. They arranged a ride for the victim and, while they were waiting for the ride, another man named Jorge Alfonso Alvarez arrived. Alvarez was tasked with making sure that the victim did not leave the hotel room.

The victim was able to secretly text 911 while he was being driven to the bank. He provided the deputies with a description of the car and his location.

Deputies were able to locate the car and conduct a traffic stop. They arrested Christina Jones, Curtis Jones, and Jorge Alfonso Alvarez.

All three suspects are facing charges of robbery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. They are currently being held at the Osceola County Jail without bond.
