Brothers, David and Andrew Morrison Arrested for Brutal Purse Snatching

A relaxing shopping trip at Costco turned terrifying for a Los Angeles woman when two brothers, David and Andrew Morrison, allegedly ripped off her purse and dragged her through the parking lot. Now facing robbery charges, the 38 and 34-year-old suspects will have to answer for their violent act.

The frightening incident unfolded at around 6:30 PM on November 26th. As per the Sheriff's office report, the victim bravely tried to hold onto her purse when the brothers snatched it. In a shocking display of cruelty, they repeatedly punched her while dragging her along the pavement as they sped away in their car. Fortunately, paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, where she received treatment for multiple facial injuries and head trauma. KTLA reports that the horrifying ordeal continued even onto the street before the victim finally managed to break free.

Investigators remained dedicated to finding the perpetrators, and their hard work paid off on December 28th. They caught up with the Morrison brothers in Diamond Bar, just a short distance from the scene of the crime. A search of their arrest location yielded "crucial evidence," including the victim's stolen belongings.

Facing serious charges, the brothers were booked at the Industry Sheriff's Station with bail set at a hefty $500,000 each. While the Morrisons currently face charges for this specific incident, detectives are actively investigating their potential involvement in other robberies. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim is encouraged to contact the Major Crimes Bureau at 562-946-7187.

The victim's friend, Donald Ward, spoke to KTLA expressing gratitude for her survival. He assisted her in canceling her stolen credit cards and safely recovering her car from the Costco parking lot. This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder to stay vigilant and aware of your surroundings, even in seemingly safe places like popular stores.
