Last week, a peaceful Delaware neighborhood was rocked by a shocking discovery: a home daycare, entrusted with the care of innocent children, allegedly turned out to be a hidden drug and weapons cache.
Cameron Christmas, 33, and Jessica Cooper, 29, daycare operators, were arrested on Jan. 11th after a raid uncovered a chilling arsenal of drugs and firearms, jeopardizing the safety of four children present at the time.
The raid, conducted by Dover police, unearthed a disturbing scene: two handguns, 302 bags of heroin, three ounces of cocaine, 26 grams of crack cocaine, and a staggering $32,000 in cash. Thankfully, the four children were unharmed and later returned to their guardians.
Christmas and Cooper face serious charges, including possession with intent to deliver drugs, firearm possession, and the most concerning of all – endangering the welfare of children. It's unclear if they've entered pleas or hired legal representation.
This incident raises alarming questions about the safety of our children and the potential dangers lurking behind seemingly ordinary facades. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story and keep your eyes peeled for more on this shocking case of alleged daycare drug trafficking.
