Police in Roswell, Georgia, nabbed a suspected bank robber after a wild chase that ended with him...snoozing in a stranger's home! 27-year-old James Raborn, accused of a brazen robbery at a Truist Bank, led officers on a chase before settling down for an unexpected nap in someone else's bedroom.
This crime news began with Raborn allegedly passing a threatening note and robbing the bank on Monday. Crime lawyers are now sifting through evidence as Raborn faces charges for armed robbery, trespassing, and traffic violations.
Police quickly identified Raborn and his suspected accomplice, 29-year-old Emily Browning, using surveillance footage and technology. On Tuesday, a chase ensued after license plate readers spotted their car. Raborn ditched the vehicle and disappeared, but Browning was apprehended.
The search for Raborn intensified, with K9 and drone teams combing the area. Finally, on Wednesday, cell phone data led detectives to a nearby property. There, they stumbled upon an outbuilding with signs of recent entry and, shockingly, Raborn snoozing inside!
The homeowner, completely unaware of Raborn's presence, was understandably startled to find him upon returning. Thankfully, no one was harmed. Police suspect Raborn snuck in through a kitchen window while the house was empty.
He is now behind bars in Fulton County Jail, facing a hefty bond and potentially additional charges. This bizarre incident raises questions: could Raborn be linked to other fraud and robbery cases? Only time and the ongoing investigation will tell.
