Gruesome Discovery in Minneapolis: Man Found Shot, Hidden in Garbage Can

The chilling discovery of a man's body in a Minneapolis garage has shaken the city and sparked a homicide investigation. Reid Christopher Johnson, 51, was found dead on Sunday afternoon with multiple gunshot wounds, according to an official report.

His body was tucked inside a garbage can located in the garage of an empty house on 30th Avenue North. Police and forensic teams rushed to the scene to collect evidence and launch a thorough investigation.

"This is a tragic situation, and our detectives are working hard to find the person or persons responsible," said a spokesperson for the Minneapolis Police Department.

Details surrounding the discovery are unsettling. According to reports, a real estate agent preparing the house for an open house stumbled upon the gruesome scene. On Saturday, they'd noticed an unfamiliar car parked in the garage and alerted the police. By Sunday, the car was gone, replaced by the large garbage bin holding Johnson's remains.

A neighbor, assisting the agent with moving the bin, made the horrific discovery. "It was just awful," the neighbor told a local news channel. "There was something long wrapped in a tarp, and then... it was him. Unbelievable."

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made. Authorities urge anyone with information, however small, to come forward. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling CrimeStoppers or visiting their website.

This senseless tragedy highlights the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in solving crimes. With the public's help, justice can be served for Reid Johnson and his family.
