Guilty Plea in Shocking Crime: Man Admits to Murdering 19-Year-Old Newcomer whoo Had Only $20 in Atlanta

In a gruesome crime news update, one of the individuals accused of murdering Morgan Bauer, a woman allegedly strangled, cut up, burned, and violated, has confessed to the crime.

Jonathan Alexander Warren, 34, pleaded guilty without a negotiated deal, leading to a life sentence without parole, as per the prosecution's request by The Newton County District Attorney’s Office in Georgia.

Katelyn Goble remains the other defendant in the case. During the plea hearing, Warren requested the possibility of parole, but the court, agreeing with the state, sentenced him to life without parole. Warren admitted guilt to malice murder, tampering with evidence, concealing another's death, and necrophilia.

Bauer, who disappeared at 19 in February 2016 after moving from South Dakota to Atlanta with minimal funds, was last seen leaving a nightclub. Charges were filed in August 2023, more than seven years post her disappearance. Initially accused of covering up the crimes, Goble, indicted in October, now faces charges including murder.

Bauer's mother, Sherri Keenan, expressed concern about her daughter's move to Atlanta and recalled a challenging transition. Bauer had planned to stay with someone from Craigslist but faced difficulties, eventually turning to dancing for a living.
