Former wrestler Billy Jack Haynes, 70, has been charged with his wife's murder in Portland, Oregon. Police say Haynes' wife, Janette Becraft, 85, was found dead in their home on February 8th.

Haynes was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.

According to police reports, Haynes did not cooperate with officers when they arrived at the scene and appeared to be armed with a gun.

This led to a large police response, including a special team and a shelter-in-place order for neighbors. Haynes was eventually taken into custody, and sadly, Mrs. Becraft was found deceased inside the home. An autopsy confirmed she died from a gunshot wound.

Haynes was later hospitalized for a medical condition unrelated to the incident but remained in police custody. He is expected to face his court hearing upon release.

It is not known yet if Haynes has retained an attorney. Haynes wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), now known as WWE, from 1986 to 1988 under the name Billy Jack Haynes. He even faced off against Hercules Hernandez at WrestleMania III!
