Missing Teenager's Father Charged with Murder After Decade-Long Search

A father in Alabama, Demetric Hooper, has been charged with the murder of his daughter, Brittany Robinson, who vanished over 10 years ago. Brittany was last seen with her father when she was just 14 years old in 2012.

Although Brittany's body hasn't been found, a grand jury decided to charge Mr. Hooper with murder based on the evidence collected in the cold case. This means they believe Brittany was killed, not that she simply ran away.

Demetric Hooper was already in jail in Oklahoma City on different charges when the murder indictment came through. He will be brought back to Alabama to face trial for the alleged murder.

It's unclear yet if Mr. Hooper has responded to the murder charge or the charges he faces in Oklahoma.
