A horrible crime has shaken the city of Worcester, Massachusetts. A mother and her young daughter (Pictured above) were shot and killed while sitting in their parked car on Tuesday afternoon.
Police arrived at the scene after hearing gunshots and found 27-year-old Chasity Nuñez and her 11-year-old daughter, Zella, inside the vehicle. Sadly, both were pronounced dead at the hospital despite having serious injuries.
The police are searching for a suspect named Dejan Belnavis, 27 years old.

They believe he's dangerous and could be armed. Another person, Karel Mangual (28 years old), has already been arrested in connection with the crime.
Worcester's city officials released a statement expressing their sadness and support for the victims' family and friends, as well as the school community grieving the loss of Zella. They emphasized that violence has no place in their city and vowed to work toward healing.
The victims' family is heartbroken. Chasity's cousin shared that she has another young daughter, thankfully not present during the shooting. He described Zella as a bright and loving child who didn't deserve this tragedy. Chasity, according to him, was a dedicated and loving mother.
The police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward anonymously through the city's website or by calling the police department.
