A mom in North Carolina, Genevieve Ellen Springer, was arrested after the tragic deaths of her 4-year-old twin boys.
The sad news came to light on Saturday morning when the twins' father called 911 after arriving at his separated wife's house to pick up his sons, as per their custody agreement.
He found the boys deceased inside the home.
Ms. Springer was in a hospital in Georgia at the time but was still charged with two counts of first-degree murder. After being released from the hospital, she was arrested and is currently being held in North Carolina without bail.
Investigators are still trying to figure out exactly when the twins died. The father last saw them alive on February 26th. An autopsy is expected to help determine the cause and time of their deaths.
