A jury in Suffolk County, New York found Valerie Owusu and Emmanuel Addae guilty of second-degree murder in the death of King Owusu, Valerie's five-year-old son.
The horrific crime took place nearly three years ago in Brentwood, Long Island.
Prosecutors presented evidence that King endured a prolonged and brutal assault over a three-day period in 2021.
They allege Owusu and Addae used "at least four different instruments" to inflict injuries on the young boy from "head to toe." Tragically, King's condition worsened, and he eventually lost consciousness.
Despite King's suffering, neither Owusu nor Addae sought medical attention for him.
Instead, on April 1st, 2021, they took King to a family member's home and left him there.
Sadly, when the family member returned, they found King lifeless.
