Florida Teacher Tragically Killed in Murder-Suicide by Estranged Husband

A beloved Florida teacher, Jamie Felix, lost her life in a heartbreaking murder-suicide on Friday evening.

According to Port St. Lucie police, Jamie's estranged husband, Ray Felix, approached her and their two children at a local business while disguised.

He then forced them into a rental car, initiating the beginning of a terrifying ordeal.

Inside the car, Ray confronted Jamie about their upcoming divorce and coerced her into sending a concerning email to her colleagues at Manatee K-8 School.

This email raised red flags, prompting Jamie's coworkers to contact the police.

The situation escalated further after Ray went to get Jamie's car.

He forced her to drive while he held her at gunpoint, with one of their sons following closely behind in the rental car.

Authorities in Port St. Lucie tracked Jamie's car to West Palm Beach but it was too late.

The couple were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide.
