Nicki Minaj has been released from police custody in the Netherlands.

This comes just hours after she recorded herself being detained by Dutch officers on suspicion of "carrying drugs."

The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, in a statement posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Saturday, May 25, confirmed Minaj’s release.

The statement said, "We have just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon at Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs. After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey."

This was translated from Dutch.

In an Instagram Live video, shared on X by a fan account, Amsterdam police officers can be heard telling Minaj that she was "under arrest" for "carrying drugs" and instructing her to get into a van to be taken to the police station.

Despite denying the allegations and repeatedly asking for a lawyer, Minaj, whose full name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, eventually got into a van at what looked like an airport.

A police spokesperson in the Netherlands confirmed to NBC News that they had "arrested a 41-year-old American woman at Schiphol Airport because of possession of soft drugs."

Both a representative for Minaj and the Amsterdam police did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comments.

Minaj was en route to Manchester, England, for a show on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour when she captured the incident on video.

In another video posted on her Instagram, Minaj, filming from behind the camera, speaks to a man in a suit who tells her that officers wanted to search her luggage again "because you filmed [the police officer]."

The man added, "...He doesn't believe you don't have more with you than you said."

On X, Minaj posted a series of messages claiming the arrest was an attempt to "sabotage my tour."

"They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour because so many people are mad that it's this successful & they can’t profit from me. They got caught stealing money from my travel/jets. Got fired. Got mad. Etc," she wrote.

She also claimed her bags were taken without her permission and that the plan was to delay her so she would miss her show.

In another post, Minaj mentioned that her security team informed officials that she had some pre-rolled marijuana joints in her bag.
