Azle Man, Shane Breshers, Arrested for Murder After Missing Woman's Body Found in his Backyard

An Azle man faces multiple charges, including murder, after a missing woman's body was discovered hidden in his backyard.

Shane Breshers has been charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and murder in connection with the death of Heather Treibly.

Treibly had not been seen since May 27, as confirmed by the Azle Police Department in a news release.

The investigation began after a missing persons report was filed on June 1 concerning Treibly.

On Wednesday, June 12, officers responded to a suspicious incident at a home in the 100 block of Ty Lane.

Upon arriving at Breshers' residence, police discovered an unidentified body hidden in the backyard.

Authorities used tattoos to confirm the identity of the deceased as Heather Treibly.

Shane Breshers was quickly named the primary suspect.

Detectives gathered sufficient evidence to issue an arrest warrant for him.

On the same day Treibly’s body was found, Breshers was arrested for tampering with evidence.

The following day, he was formally charged with murder.

Breshers is currently being held at the Lon Evans Corrections Center with a bond set at $650,000.
