A Virginia man, Devin Albritton, will spend decades in prison for his part in a terrible crime.
In 2020, he was involved in the kidnapping and murder of a beloved teenager, Asia Cowell
Cowell was lured to a house with the false promise of a hairstyling appointment.
Once she arrived at the house, she was kidnapped and taken to the woods where she was fatally shot.
Sadly, Asia Cowell was killed to prevent her from testifying against a man who allegedly tried to rape her.
The tragic events began on September 7, 2020, when Asia Cowell was dropped off at a Norfolk apartment for a supposed hairstyling appointment.
Devins wife, Crystal Albritton had arranged the appointment through Instagram.
Once at the apartment, Cowell was restrained and put into a vehicle.
She was then driven to a wooded area in Newport News.
There, she was led into the woods, where Crystal Albritton instructed Dazha Feaster to shoot Cowell.
Dazha Feaster was the sister of the man Asia Cowell was supposed to testify against.
At the time, she was 17 years old.
When Feaster hesitated, Crystal Albritton took the gun and shot Cowell herself.
Crystal Albritton ordered Cowell to turn around.
When Asia Cowell turned, Crystal shot her in the back of the head, despite Cowell's pleas for her life and promise not to testify.

The man Asia Cowell was set to testify against was Desean Corum.
Cowell accused Desean Corum, 30, of attempted rape.
As a result, Desean Corum faced charges of attempted rape, sodomy, attempted sodomy, strangling, and abduction with intent to defile.
However, the charges were dropped a week after Cowell's body was found.
Asia Cowell's body was discovered by Newport News police on September 23, 2020, behind commercial buildings on Warwick Boulevard.
According to reports, Dazha Feaster took Crystal Albritton as her godmother and mentor.
So when her brother Desean Corum informed her about the upcoming case, she turned to her "mother" for help.
Both the Albrittons and Dazha Feaster knew about Cowell's planned testimony against Corum, which motivated their actions.
The three defendants were all arrested, charged, and tried for the murder of 17-year-old Asia Cowell.
Desean Corum, the man Asia Cowell was set to testify against, has not been charged with her murder.

Devin Albritton pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.
He was sentenced to 50 years in prison, with 11 years suspended, for the murder.
His wife, Crystal Ashley Rudy Albritton, 34, received a life sentence after pleading guilty to the same charge.
Dazha Feaster, the sister of the man Asia Cowell was supposed to testify against, has a plea hearing scheduled for October 30
Newport News Circuit Court Judge Christopher Papile did not hold back in describing the brutality of the crime.
"This was senseless, but we do know the motive," Papile said. "I don’t believe it could be more depraved or grotesque."
He added that Cowell was "more than brutally murdered. She was executed."
Asia Cowell’s stepmother, Tuwanna Simmons, expressed dissatisfaction with the sentence.
“We can never get Asia back again," she said.
In another case, a teenager has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after he raped a woman and livestreamed it.
