Shocking NYC Assault: NYPD Seeks Suspect After 81-Year-Old Woman is Brutally Sucker Punched While Walking Her Dog

Geula Levi-Freeman was out for a routine walk with her dog when she was suddenly attacked.

The 81-year-old woman was sucker punched by a stranger in New York City while walking alone.

Levi-Freeman had just left her building to walk her dog when the assault happened.

She says the punch was so hard that she doesn't even remember the attack.

Surveillance video shows the suspect following her.

As Levi-Freeman's dog, Bear, stopped to sniff something, the man abruptly turned around, approached her, and hit her.

Levi-Freeman collapsed to the ground as her attacker calmly walked away.

Seconds before the attack

The footage shows her lying motionless on the ground, with her dog faithfully staying by her side.

Fortunately, good Samaritans quickly came to her aid.

Levi-Freeman suffered a concussion and facial bruises after hitting her head on a concrete ledge.

Despite the traumatic experience, she has expressed compassion toward her attacker.

“It wasn’t against me. He is sick, and he didn’t really rob me. He didn’t take anything. He just hit me for no good reason,” she explained.

She added that she hopes the man receives professional help instead of jail time.

The NYPD is still investigating the incident.

They say it is part of the rising number of misdemeanor assaults in the city. No arrests have been made so far.
