Uber Driver Murders Mother After Nightclub Pickup: Chanti Dixon’s Heartbreaking Case

On September 8, 2024, Chanti Dixon, a single mother of two, vanished after leaving work.

She worked as a striper at a nightclub in Indianapolis.

Just after 3:30 a.m that fateful day, Dixon ordered an Uber from her workplace.

Little did she know that this would be the last ride she would ever take.

Her lifeless body was found in a wooded area behind her home days after this deadly ride

30-year-old Chanti Dixon had recently moved into her new home just days before her tragic death.

She was a devoted mother to her two children, Dashun, 13, and Chianti, 10.

Chanti Dixon was also known for her vibrant personality and loving nature.

Her family and friends remember her as someone who brought joy and energy into every room she entered.

Despite her busy life, she made sure to show love and care for her children.

The nightmare for Chanti Dixon's family started after she didn’t return home from work.

Out of worry, they tracked her phone’s location, which led them to Dixon's lifeless body.

Her body had been dumped in the underbrush near a school bus stop.

The police were immediately called in and an investigation started.

The investigation led to the discovery of two cell phones near her body.

Francisco Valadez, the Uber driver who picked up Dixon, was also brought in for questioning.

29-year-old Francisco Valadez gave conflicting accounts of the incident.

He claimed that an armed man had attacked and robbed Dixon after he dropped her off.

Valadez alleged that Dixon had been shot by this supposed assailant, leading him to flee the scene.

However, as the investigation progressed, it became clear that Valadez was lying.

After further questioning, Francisco Valadez came clean and confessed to the crime.

The authorities discovered that Valadez tried to rape Chanti Dixon in the backseat of his car.

During the assault, Dixon mocked the size of his genitals and this made Valadez very angry.

In a fit of rage, he shot her in the head.

He then dragged her body out of the vehicle, into the nearby bush.

Shockingly, he tried to rape her corpse even after she was unresponsive.

Francisco Valadez’s then attemped to cover up his crime by cleaning the blood from his car.

Evidence found in his BMW, including the murder weapon, corroborated the gruesome details of the crime.

He was immediately arrested and charged with Chanti Dixon’s murder.

Francisco Valadez

Chanti Dixon’s family and the Indianapolis community have been left deeply devastated following this horrific crime.

Police Chief Chris Bailey expressed the community's horror at the brutal nature of the crime.

"This woman is gone from the world unnecessarily by an evil act" he said.

Francisco Valadez has been charged with murder, and more charges are expected as the investigation continues.

The tragedy has also prompted a broader discussion about the safety of women using rideshare services.

Rise Dixon, Chanti’s grieving mother, has urged other women to take precautions when using rideshares.

She urged them to share their ride details with loved ones and to carry personal protection.

“She was fun, she was courageous, a ball of life. I keep waiting for her to walk through the door, but I know she’s not gonna walk through the door,” Rise Dixon said.

“For people out there that’s doing stuff like that man did to my child because you picked up a stripper at work and thought wasn’t nobody gonna care. We care. And y’all can’t do that,” Rise Dixon added.

Her family has established a GoFundMe page for anyone who wishes to support them during this difficult time.

Uber has responded by banning Valadez from their platform.

They also pledged to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation.

They have expressed their condolences to the Dixon family and promised to assist in any way possible.

The search for justice continues as the community rallies to support the grieving family and ensure that such acts of violence do not go unanswered.
