According to a probable cause arrest affidavit, Jimerson called police around 2:18 a.m. on Sept. 27, 2024.
During the call, Jimerson said he “stabbed someone” with a kitchen knife.
Authorities immediately rushed to the scene after the call.
When they arrived, they found Jimerson in the street with blood on his right foot, pant leg and sandals.
Officers went into the apartment and found Gray unconscious and not breathing in the living room.
According to the police, Gray's shirt was soaked with blood, and there was blood throughout the apartment.
Neighbors told cops the homeowner, Jimerson’s aunt, had asked Gray to do some work on the apartment, the affidavit said.
Gray lived just across the street and was very familiar in the area.
Jimerson reportedly claimed Gray attacked him and he acted in self-defense.
However, the police didn’t buy his story.
They also found evidence proving otherwise, including a video from that day that has since gone viral online.

After detectives had enough evidence, Jimerson was arrested and charged to court.
In an unbelievable move, a judge granted the murder suspect a $50,000 bond.
This made Prosecutors and police officers in Washington very furious.
The suspect quickly posted the bond, securing his release just one day after the alleged killing.
After Jimerson’s release from jail the day after the slaying, prosecutors filed an emergency motion to raise the defendant’s bond.
As part of the motion, prosecutors submitted new evidence to the court.
The evidence reportedly showed Jimerson attacking Gray from behind with a wooden stick.
After hitting Gray, Jimerson ran back into his apartment and Gray followed.
“Within fifteen seconds of the victim entering the apartment unit, the Defendant had already stabbed him twice with a large kitchen knife — one stab to the right flank and one stab to the victim’s back,” prosecutors wrote.
“This was a violent attack that started with a wooden stick and escalated to the use of a large kitchen knife, which was located in a sink and appeared to have been cleaned.”
The judge agreed with the prosecution and Jimerson’s bond was raised to $500,000.
As a result of the new bond, law enforcement took Jimerson back into custody
However, they weren’t happy that Jimerson was able to post such a low bond in the first place.
They argued that the suspect should be detained due to the violent nature of the crime.
Additionally, they also expressed concerns that he posed a danger to society.
Jimerson’s next court date is scheduled for Oct. 16.
