Kelsey Glover: Florida Mom Charged with murder after She Allegedly Drowned Her Daughter in a bathub

Kelsey Glover, a 35-year-old Florida mother is accused of drowning her 14-year-old daughter, Giselle Glover.

She reportedly drowned Giselle in a bathtub during a horrifying incident at their Poinciana home.

Who is Kelsey Glover?

Kelsey Glover lived in Poinciana, Florida, with her two children and a roommate.

On November 20, 2024, law enforcement officers were called to her home after reports of an "armed disturbance."

By the time deputies arrived, chaos had already unfolded.

Neighbours claimed that Glover was seen holding her daughter, Giselle, underwater in a bathtub.

They said they tried stopping her but all their efforts to stop the attack proved futile.

Sadly, Giselle was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

After the attack, Glover was seen chasing others in the house with a hammer.

Deputies had to intervene immediately they arrived.

They disarmed Glover and restrained her before taking her into custody.

According to Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez, the scene at the Glover household was chaotic and violent.

“It was just something that we caught in the act, and God only knows which direction that was going to go if we didn’t get there on time and kick the door in,” Sheriff Lopez stated during a press conference.

At the time of the attack, there were four individuals: Glover, Giselle, another child, and an adult roommate.

Giselle’s father was not present during the incident but was later informed of his daughter’s death.

While there were no reported instances of domestic violence involving Giselle and her mother, authorities revealed that Glover had a history of violence.

She was previously accused of battering her husband, who is also Giselle’s father.

Seeking Justice for Giselle

Kelsey Glover has been charged with first-degree murder following the death of her 14-year-old daughter, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office reported.

An autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death as drowning and the manner of death as homicide.

Initially, Glover faced assault charges against her roommate while authorities awaited the autopsy results.

Following the findings, her charges were upgraded.

According to a court filing, Glover allegedly withheld insulin from her diabetic daughter, causing her to become ill.

The filing further claims Glover held her daughter’s head underwater in a bathtub, and the hammer attack occurred when her roommate intervened to save the child.

The state argued that Glover poses a significant danger to the community, as outlined in a pretrial detention request.

At a hearing on Friday, Judge Tanya Davis Wilson granted a motion to delay the pretrial detention hearing until December 4.
