What are the Details of Sarah Kinslow’s Disappearance?
On the morning of May 1, 2001, Sarah Kinslow’s father dropped her off at Greenville Middle School around 7:20 a.m.
She had reportedly planned to skip school with friends and meet at East Mount Cemetery, but according to those friends, Sarah never arrived.
It wasn’t until the end of the school day that her parents learned she had skipped her classes.
Concerned, her parents contacted the Greenville Police Department.
Police utilized tracking dogs, which picked up Sarah’s scent around the school, but the trail ended two blocks away on a street.

What Efforts Have Been Made to Find Sarah Kinslow?
Over the years, law enforcement, Sarah’s family, and volunteers have made significant efforts to locate her.
Early in the investigation, the Greenville Police Department and the community mobilized to find Sarah.
Flyers, tracking dogs, and witness interviews formed the backbone of the investigation
Despite extensive efforts, the case quickly went cold.
A chilling lead emerged in 2010 when an anonymous note claimed Sarah’s remains were disposed of in a rock quarry filled with water.
Despite the tip, police reportedly did not investigate the quarry thoroughly.
This left Sarah’s mother, Louise Kinslow, feeling frustrated and hopeless.
In the early days of the investigation, detectives found out that Sarah Kinslow had a boyfriend, Curtis Wayne Bell.
After her disappearance, surveillance footage at one gas station reportedly showed a girl resembling Sarah with Bell, but he denied it was her.
Bell, then 18, was arrested for aggravated sexual assault after investigators discovered their romantic relationship.
Sarah Kinslow was still a minor at the time and was not supposed to be having romantic encounters at the time with adults.
Though Bell completely denied any involvement in Sarah’s disappearance, he remains a person of interest, according to law enforcement in Greenville, Texas.

What Theories Exist About Sarah Kinslow’s Disappearance?
Several theories have emerged over the years:
1) Voluntary Runaway: Some believe Sarah Kinslow ran away to escape her life in Greenville, possibly with Curtis Bell.
A diary found after her disappearance revealed Sarah’s dreams of running away with him.
However, her lack of preparation (no extra clothes or personal belongings), and absence of confirmed sightings make this theory less plausible
2) Abduction: The witness report of Sarah entering a light blue truck has fueled speculation that she may have been abducted.
3) Foul Play: Many, including Sarah’s mother, believe she may have been killed shortly after her disappearance.
A chilling note received by Sarah’s parents suggested she might have been murdered and her body disposed of in a quarry.
Despite this, no physical evidence has been uncovered.
