The Shocking Abuse
In July 2023, Naomi Floren was babysitting a 12-year-old girl and her four siblings at an apartment on South Walnut Street Pike.
Instead of doing her job, Floren pimped out the 12-year-old and turned the home into a scene of unimaginable abuse.
In one particular incident, Floren invited a 17-year-old male to the apartment while she was babysitting.
She allegedly told the 17-year-old that the victim was 15-years-old.
During their interaction, Floren reportedly gave the victim an unknown pill and a THC vape.
This left the child disoriented and vulnerable.
While she was disoriented, the 17-year-old male made sexual advances toward the victim which she refused.
According to police reports, Floren then had sex with the 17-year-old right in front of the victim that day.
But the horror didn’t stop there.
The next day, Floren took the victim to another apartment to meet a 54-year-old man she referred to as “Rat Guy.”
Floren allegedly told the man the victim was 18 years old.
In this apartment, Floren performed sexual acts with the 12-year-old while the man watched.
After the disturbing acts, the man then had sex with the child while taking explicit photos.
The victim later told investigators she was given $20 after the disturbing encounter.
The abuse still continued after this incident, according to IUSTV
Floren took the victim to yet another apartment, where she was given an unknown orange pill, marijuana, and alcohol.
The victim recalled feeling “very impaired” and being forced to engage in sexual acts with two men.

Legal Proceedings and Justice Served
After the victim’s family found out about the abuse, they reported it to the local police department.
Crime scene investigators executed a search warrant at Floren’s apartment, where they found prescription pill bottles and her phone, which contained explicit photos and videos of the victim.
Naomi Floren was immediately arrested and slammed with multiple felony charges including child molesting and promoting child sexual trafficking.
On January 31, 2025, Floren pleaded guilty to child molesting (a Level 4 felony) and promotion of child sexual trafficking (a Level 3 felony).
In exchange for her plea, the state dismissed several other charges against her.
Floren was sentenced to 18 years in prison—eight years for child molesting and 10 years for promoting child sexual trafficking.
She will serve just over 15 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections, followed by two years of supervised probation.
Floren’s defense attorney argued for leniency, but the severity of the crimes left little room for sympathy.
The judge emphasized the need to protect the community and ensure such a crime would not happen again.
