Kenneth Ray Cook: West Virginia Father Faces 152 Charges in Decade-Long Abuse Case Involving His Daughter

A West Virginia man is behind bars after he allegedly sexually abused  his daughter for over a decade, resulting in the birth of three children.

Kenneth Ray Cook, 44, of Raleigh County, faces a staggering 152 charges, including 149 counts of incest, as well as sexual abuse, sexual assault, and child neglect.

According to court documents sighted by PEOPLE, the abuse began in 2012 when Cook’s daughter was just 9 years old and continued until she turned 21.

The prolonged abuse reportedly led to the birth of three children, all of whom were found in neglectful conditions, according to law enforcement.

In August 2024, their 1-year-old child was found neglected, which led to a deeper investigation.

After an extensive criminal investigation, Cook was eventually charged on June 3, 2025.

Cook was first arrested in March 2025 and has remained in custody at Southern Regional Jail on a $500,000 bond.

His charges were upgraded after the June indictment, which included nearly 150 counts of incest —some dating as recently as July 2024.

Cook’s attorney, Timothy J. LaFon, has not publicly commented on the case.

With the 152 charges pending, legal experts suggest Cook could face decades in prison if convicted.

For now, Cook remains in jail awaiting trial, while investigators continue piecing together the full scope of the allegations.
