A Staten Island mother and son are behind bars after a deadly street racing crash in New Jersey led to someone's death.
According to prosecutors, the pair allegedly tried to leave the country afterward but they were caught and arrested.

The sad incident happened on June 29, 2025, around 7 p.m, as reported by New York Post.
20-year-old Alvi Limani was allegedly racing another driver, 23-year-old Jeter Ogando, along the Garden State Parkway when the high-speed contest turned deadly.
According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Limani was driving a BMW X3 when he lost control, hit two other vehicles, and rolled over several times.
Tragicallly, the crash forcefully ejected two passengers from Limani’s SUV.
Albion Hysenaj, 20, who is also from Staten Island, was rushed to the hospital but sadly, he didn’t survive.
However, the second passenger survuved, but he suffered serious injuries.
According to police reports, Limani and another 19-year-old passenger, Emily Harrington, fled the scene on foot after the crash, instead of staying to help in any way possible.

On July 17, 2025, authorities arrested Limani and his mother, 42-year-old Vilma Vneshta, in Miami.
Investigators believe they were trying to leave the U.S. to avoid prosecution, but their plan unraveled when law enforcement caught up with them.
After three weeks in Florida custody, the pair was extradited back to New Jersey on August 9, 2025.
This footage captured the moment they were led off a plane in handcuffs and leg shackles, with Limani wearing a neck brace and Vneshta staring blankly ahead.
Alvi Limani now faces serious charges, including:
- Aggravated manslaughter (first-degree)
- Vehicular homicide
- Leaving the scene of a fatal accident
- Driving with a suspended license
His mother, Vneshta, was charged with hindering the investigation, while Ogando, the other driver, faces vehicular homicide charges.
Additionally, Harrington, the passenger who fled with Limani, is accused of obstruction and conspiracy.
The death of Albion Hysenaj has left friends and family devastated.
While the legal process unfolds, one thing is clear: reckless driving has life-altering consequences.
Both Limani and Vneshta remain in custody at the Middlesex County Correctional Facility as they await further hearings.
