A former Whitefish Bay School District associate principal has been sentenced to prison for her role in a drunk driving crash that killed a man in Washington County.
Rebecca Salomon, 52, was sentenced on December 15, 2025, in Washington County Circuit Court to six years in prison followed by three years of extended supervision.
The sentence stems from a crash that happened nearly a year earlier.

The crash happened around 8:12 p.m. on December 29, 2024, at the intersection of County Trunk P and County Trunk NN in the Town of West Bend.
According to the criminal complaint, Washington County deputies arrived to find a Chevy Impala stopped at the intersection.
The driver, an adult man, was found unconscious and slumped over the steering wheel, however, he was still breathing but badly injured.
Nearby, deputies found Rebecca Salomon and a passenger, later identified as her husband, at the scene.
They also found a Jeep Grand Cherokee in a ditch southeast of the intersection, which Salomon admitted she had been driving.
According to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Salomon had been driving home from Lucky Shots, a West Bend tavern, and she had consumed three margaritas before getting behind the wheel.
Responding officers later reported seeing signs of intoxication, which they believed caused the crash.
During the crime scene investigation, Salomon’s husband repeatedly interrupted deputies and told her not to answer questions, as seen in the bodycam footage below.
At one point, deputies said he turned toward them in what they described as a “pre-attack posture” and was placed in handcuffs.
Salomon later took sobriety tests, which showed signs of impairment, and a blood test confirmed her blood alcohol level was 0.109%, above the legal limit.
An accident reconstruction by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office determined that Salomon either failed to stop at a stop sign or failed to yield.
They confirmed that this caused the victim’s vehicle to strike the driver’s side of her Jeep.
The injured driver was taken to the hospital after the crash but sadly he died five days later.
On January 3, 2025, the Washington County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of death as craniocerebral injuries from the crash.

Following the crash, Salomon was charged with two felony counts related to drunk driving which carried a possible penalty of up to 50 years in prison and $200,000 in fines, as per online records.
In March 2025, Salomon resigned from her position as associate principal at Cumberland Elementary School, where she had worked in the Whitefish Bay School District.
Salomon later pleaded no contest in September 2025 to one felony count of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, and because of this, the second felony charge was dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
During sentencing, her attorney said Salomon accepted responsibility for what happened.
“I think [the judge] found that this was certainly a tragic situation,” attorney Jonathan LaVoy said.
“But also took into account Ms. Salomon's service to her community… and came up with a fair and appropriate sentence.”
The case brought renewed attention to the dangers of drunk driving and the lasting impact of impaired driving crashes on victims, families, and the wider community.
Salomon will serve her sentence in Wisconsin state prison, followed by extended supervision once released.
