Recently surfaced video footage depicts the disturbing DUI arrest of an accused child rapist who was found with six young boys and girls in his vehicle, alongside empty bottles of tequila and Fireball whiskey.
Jeremy Guthrie, who was apprehended in 2022 on a highway in New Mexico, displayed erratic driving behavior that caught the attention of the police.
Upon further inspection, law enforcement discovered the presence of the children, one of whom Guthrie allegedly raped and impregnated after meeting on social media.
Recorded by police body cameras on July 5, 2022, the footage captured the 41-year-old Guthrie driving recklessly on a highway before exhibiting incoherent behavior after being pulled over.
When officers approached the vehicle, they were astounded to find it occupied by young boys and girls.
Guthrie, slurring his words, claimed they were his friends and insisted they were all 18 years old.
However, his attempt to complete a sobriety field test ended in failure.
During the arrest, Guthrie appeared perplexed when asked if he had ever suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Eventually, he was handcuffed and charged with driving under the influence, as well as six counts of child abuse.
However, the case took an even more disturbing turn when Guthrie was accused of raping a 12-year-old girl who was present in the car.
The girl experienced a miscarriage as a result of the year-long sexual abuse inflicted upon her by Guthrie.
Shockingly, the girl's twin was also in the vehicle, and Guthrie allegedly sent her explicit messages. It is suspected that he also raped her, while expressing his twisted affection for both sisters.
The girls' grandmother expressed her profound anger and disgust at Guthrie's actions, stating, "It makes me sick. I'm livid about what he did to my granddaughters. And he's just a very, very sick person."
According to the Albuquerque Journal, Guthrie is believed to have raped at least one other underage girl.
In the bodycam footage, Guthrie can be seen struggling to locate his wallet when asked for his driver's license.
While stepping out of the car, his jeans were unbuttoned, and despite the officers detecting the smell of alcohol, Guthrie insisted he had not consumed any.
The presence of open bottles of tequila and Fireball whiskey in the car served as evidence of his intoxication.
Once the children's parents arrived at the scene, they were reunited with their young ones.
Shortly after Guthrie's arrest, the twins' grandmother alerted the police to his ongoing rape and sexual abuse of the girls over the course of a year. According to one of the girls, she had met Guthrie on Snapchat, and he had subjected her to regular rape over an extended period.
She revealed that he had recorded at least one of the assaults and had been involved with cocaine, methamphetamine, and owned several firearms.
Guthrie remains incarcerated at Albuquerque's Metropolitan Detention Center, as confirmed by official records.
