A Florida middle school teacher is facing serious charges after she allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old student in her classroom.
Sarah Jacas, 32, was arrested on June 23,2025, and she is charged with statutory rape by an authority figure, lewd or lascivious battery, and lewd or lascivious molestation, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Office records.

The teenage victim, who.is now 16, told criminal investigators that the abuse started during the 2022-23 school year at Corner Lake Middle School in Orlando.
The boy was having a hard time fitting in, so he started spending his lunch breaks in Jacas' classroom, where she taught maths.
At first, their chats seemed harmless, but over time, things took a disturbing turn.
It began with hugs and kisses on the cheek and later became sexual, according to the arrest affidavit sighted by PEOPLE.
"This case is deeply disturbing because it involves a trusted educator exploiting a vulnerable student," said an Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.
The victim told criminal investigators that the sexual part of their relationship, started just before Spring Break in 2023.
He said the assaults then allegedly happened multiple times multiple times through the break.
On one occasion, Jacas reportedly covered her classroom windows with active assailant curtains, laid a pillow on the floor, and had unprotected sex with him.

While investigating the case, detectives found out that Jacas and the student had also been exchanging messages after school hours.
When the boy’s mother found out about their late-night conversations, she told them to stop it.
Despite being told to stop, Jacas allegedly created a fake Instagram account and used secret codes to message the teen.
According to him, she sent numbers that represented affectionate messages—like 115 for “I miss you” and 520 for “I love you.”
Crimimal investigators say she engaged in "dirty talk" with her student, and even sent messages like, "I just had sex with my husband and it wasn’t the best, but I imagined it was you."
Jacas’ husband, with whom she shares a 12-year-old son, reportedly found out about the relationship and threatened to report her.
He even posed as Jacas on the fake Instagram account to confront the teen.
The victim said she later called him from an unknown number, and told him to "lay low" because her husband was angry.
After an extensive investigation, Jacas was arrested on June 23, 2025 and released on $19,000 bond two days later.
Corner Lake Middle School Principal Paul Browning sent a message to families, saying: "Although I cannot discuss employee matters, please know this person will not be returning to campus pending the outcome of the investigation."
Jacas has not yet entered a plea, and her public defender has not commented.
The case remains under investigation by law enforcement and the school district’s Office of Professional Standards.
