Couple Poisons Children and Commits Suicide in Bhopal Over Unpaid Debts

A tragic incident unfolded in Bhopal, India, where a couple allegedly poisoned their two children before taking their own lives.

Bhupendra Vishwakarma, 38, sent a WhatsApp message to his relatives in the early hours of Thursday, informing them of his intentions.

The couple was found hanging in a room while their children, aged 8 and 3, were discovered in another part of the house. Debt-related issues seemed to be a significant factor in their decision.

Authorities recovered a suicide note and a packet of sulphate pills at the scene.

The note detailed the couple's struggles, mentioning how they became entangled in an online job opportunity that eventually led to financial difficulties.

They expressed remorse for the consequences their actions had on their family and apologized to their loved ones.

The couple had taken a loan they were unable to repay, which added to their distress. The bodies were sent for postmortem examinations.

This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the hidden challenges individuals and families face in the pursuit of financial stability.

It highlights the importance of support systems and mental health resources to prevent such tragic outcomes.

RIP to the deceased.
