Fake Assassin Website Helps Authorities To Catch A Mother who Attempted to Hire A Hitman for Her 3-year-old Son's Murder
In a shocking incident, an 18-year-old woman from Miami, Jazmin Paez, was taken into custody after allegedly attempting to hire a hitman to kill her own 3-year-old son.
The Miami-Dade police report states that Paez is facing charges of first-degree solicitation of murder and third-degree use of a communications device for an unlawful purpose, as per court documents.
The case came to light when a man operating a fake hire-an-assassin website contacted the investigators to report that Paez had approached him to arrange the murder-for-hire of her young child.
Interestingly, the website was set up by its founder to expose and deter individuals seeking to hire killers.
Paez provided the child's address and photo to facilitate her horrifying request, insisting that the job be completed by Thursday.
The police traced the IP address used for the request back to Paez herself.
Officers immediately went to the address provided and spoke to the boy's grandmother, who confirmed that her grandson was the intended victim mentioned in the online murder request.
Fortunately, the police found the child safe and unharmed at the residence.
Taking on the role of the hired hitman, investigators engaged in conversation with Paez, who agreed to pay $3,000 for the murder assignment. Subsequently, the police went to her home and apprehended her.
While investigators refrained from speculating on Paez's motive, they discovered that her computer browser still had the murder-for-hire website in it.
