Nevada Man Allegedly Kills Wife in a Fit of Rage

In a shocking incident in Las Vegas, a man from Nevada is facing serious accusations after allegedly killing his wife.

The man's stepson and daughter desperately attempted to seek help from law enforcement to save their mother's life, as per the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Clark County Jail records.

The accused, Alexander Fitzgerald Marshall, 62, is charged with one count of open murder.

The unfortunate event unfolded in the midst of a long-standing jealousy and anger, reportedly ignited by a simple incident where the victim, Ma-Del Sagrario Diaz-Torres, conversed with a male waiter in Spanish during a restaurant dinner.

Late on Monday, the woman's son managed to flag down a police car, urgently informing the officers about his stepfather strangling his mother.

Following the distressing tip, the officers entered the house and discovered Diaz-Torres lying unresponsive on a couch with apparent blood and several injuries to her chest.

According to the daughter's statement, the couple had been arguing intensely in the days leading up to the tragic event due to Marshall's excessive jealousy over his wife's interactions with other men.

On the night of the incident, the daughter arrived home to witness yet another heated argument between her parents. Later, she heard her mother's screams and rushed to find Marshall choking her on the couch.

The daughter tried to intervene, but Marshall threatened her, preventing her from taking any action.

Fearing for her safety, the daughter called her brother and then 911, but the long wait time led her to hang up and call her brother again.

Tragically, she heard her mother's screams cease, and she believed that her mother had lost consciousness. Eventually, she managed to escape when Marshall momentarily left the room.

Marshall was subsequently arrested after a pursuit by the police. During an interview, he confessed to experiencing marital problems and acknowledged the argument about the waiter incident.

He also admitted to choking and stabbing his wife but claimed to have no memory of what caused him to do so.

The defendant was taken to the hospital for injuries before being booked into jail. LVMPD Lt. Jason Johansson indicated that the injuries were likely self-inflicted during the circumstances of his arrest.
