A Wife was Caught On Hidden Camera Adding Chlorine To Her husband's Coffee, So That She Can Allegedly Collect His Benefits After His Death

In a shocking incident, a woman from Arizona, Melody Felicano Johnson, 39, was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and adding harmful substances to food, drink, or medicine. 

These shocking allegations were made by her husband, Roby, who serves as a U.S. Army airman.

Melody and Roby Johnson are going through a divorce and have a child together, according to court documents cited by FOX 10.

The divorce proceedings took a disturbing turn when Roby noticed a strange taste in his coffee while stationed in Germany in March. 

For two to three weeks, he drank the coffee like that until he decided to use pool testing strips to identify the issue. 

The tests revealed unusually high levels of chlorine in the drink.

In a daring move, Roby secretly set up a camera inside their hotel room near Davis Monthan Air Force Base to observe his wife's actions. 

The camera allegedly captured Melody pouring bleach into his coffee. 

When the family returned to Tucson, Arizona, Roby reported the incident to the Tucson Police Department on July 6.

Police initially did not follow up, as the first video did not clearly show the liquid being poured into the drink. 

To gather more evidence, Roby installed a second camera disguised as a fire alarm. 

The new footage, recorded after the family moved into their permanent home, allegedly showed Melody pouring bleach into the coffee machine before brewing, leading to her arrest.

Upon searching the home, police found that the coffee machine had a bleach smell. 

Additionally, they discovered a small container in Melody's personal bathroom that could have contained bleach. 

Court documents revealed that the couple had separate bedrooms and bathrooms.

Melody Johnson is currently held on a $250,000 bond. 

Roby believes that she attempted to kill him to collect benefits, as per court documents.
