Ayanda Dupa-Emenaha's body, completely Burnt Beyond Recognition, Has Been Discovered Abandoned In The Bushes in Eastern Cape Region



In a heartbreaking incident, the burnt remains of a woman discovered in a bush have been identified as Ayanda Dupa-Emenaha, a 35-year-old from the Eastern Cape region. 

Her lifeless body was found on July 25 along Coega Road, a day after her family reported her as missing.

According to Colonel Priscilla Naidu, spokesperson for the provincial police, the victim's identity was established through fingerprint analysis. 


Naidu shared that Dupa-Emenaha left her workplace on the evening of July 23, around 5:30 pm, and dropped off a co-worker on Rink Street. 

She intended to proceed to Westbourne Road and then return home, but tragically, she never made it back.

The investigation took a grim turn when her white Toyota Etios was discovered abandoned on the old Coega Road shortly after midnight on the following day. 

Subsequently, a missing person report was filed.

On July 25, with the assistance of the K9 Search and Rescue unit, a body was uncovered in the bushes along Coega Road, approximately 30 meters away from where her vehicle had been found. 


Authorities from Humewood SAPS have initiated a murder investigation into the case.

Law enforcement authorities have called on the public to come forward with any relevant information regarding the incident.
