The Nigerian Optometric Association is collaborating with Women Optometrists in Nigeria to extend legal services that safeguard their female members, regardless of their marital status, from any form of mistreatment.

In a resolute move to ensure the safety of their members, NOA has established a Women Affairs committee.

This committee will work in coordination with existing organizations and gender-based activists to shield women members from harassment and abuse.

The association is closely monitoring the ongoing case concerning Dr. Ezeagu's tragic demise and remains poised to take appropriate actions as the situation evolves.

The resounding message from the statement is clear: "Enough is enough." Optometrists are standing firm in their determination to seek justice, protect their members, and bring an end to such tragic incidents.
