A family of four, including two young children, were found dead in their Upper West Side apartment in New York City.
The police were called for a wellness check on August 28, and with the help of the New York City Fire Department, they gained entry into the apartment where they found the four deceased individuals.
The victims included a 41-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman, and their two children, ages 1 and 3.
All four victims had stab wounds, and the police are investigating the incident as a possible murder-suicide. The 41-year-old male victim was the longtime superintendent of the building.
According to a spokesperson for the NYPD, the police discovered the four deceased individuals in the apartment.

The police say that all four victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
